Angry Baba Hot Sauce: A Bold Story of Flavor and Faith
The Spark of Inspiration
Angry Baba hot sauce started with a simple idea—to create something that packed enough heat to “scare” kids off bad behavior but still tasted amazing.
The inspiration came from my love for spicy food, especially “Bomb” hot sauce, which had the heat I craved but didn’t spread well over a meal.
I found myself constantly mixing it with BBQ sauce or ketchup, which wasn’t always ideal for certain dishes.
As someone who loves drizzling sauce all over my food, I thought, why not create a sauce that did everything I wanted?
That’s when I started experimenting with my own blends, realizing that making hot sauce wasn’t as complicated as I thought.
Once I mastered the process, I bottled it up, shared it with family and friends, and the feedback was so positive that I decided to turn it into a business.
The Flame of Identity
The name "Angry Baba" came from my youngest daughter. Whenever I got frustrated, she'd run around the house yelling, “Angry Baba is here!”—and it stuck.
I wouldn’t get mad at my kids, just at random things (I’ve got a short fuse sometimes, but I’m working on it).
But the name felt right. It also connected with my faith. Just like how I show grace to my kids, I realized that God, who is both an angry God and a kind Father, shows us grace and mercy, even when we don’t deserve it.
The way the sauce builds in heat with every bite reminded me of how God pours out grace and mercy on us, even as we fall short.
That’s why Luke 11:10, "For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened," is printed on every bottle.
This verse represents our belief that with faith and persistence, doors open, whether in life or in the bold journey of creating this sauce.
Fanning the Flames of Change
I saw a problem in the hot sauce market—most sauces worked on certain foods but not others.
I wanted a hot sauce that tasted great on everything—Arabic, Asian, Mexican, American, even sushi and ice cream.
Nothing felt right until Angry Baba. I also found that many hot sauces were either too hot or too mild.
Angry Baba strikes that perfect balance of bold, buildable heat with a flavor that works on anything.

Growing up, my mom taught me that the secret to great food is cooking with love.
I realized that her smile was the extra ingredient that made everything taste special, and I’ve carried that into how I make this sauce.
